Team 2 has decided that we will reflect on each lesson in the "comment" section of this post. Each member will add content throughout the lesson as we grow and learn in each lesson. We felt that this would foster communication and collaboration in each lesson.
If I were to have titled this post by another name, I would have had called it "Jet Lag". After spending 10 days in Ireland, Wales and London with 12 of my students I was exhausted (and suffered just a bit of real jet lag). While I would not have traded the time I spent there for anything, I did come back to work and school suffering from a lack of motivation and feeling a little behind the proverbial 8-ball. While I am sure this will not last, it has been difficult to get back into the swing of things after being disconnected from any online communication while in Europe.
ReplyDeleteI have also suffered from a lack of motivation after Spring Break, although I didn't get to leave the country and technology behind. I had a hard time creating a cohesive unit based on the template. I wish I would have completed the bottom portion of the template before I separated the activities into the different types of delivery and assessment. I actually created an outline myself because I had a hard time keeping track of the objectives and their respective activities and assessments.
ReplyDeleteMark, I am jealous. Ireland! What a beautiful place to spend time during the spring break.
ReplyDeleteCourtney, Yes the outline can be very challenging because ti engages us in clear planning and designing. Frequently, we don't clearly align our goals, objectives, instructional strategies, activities, and assessment. Preparing the outline is a great exercise.
Our class is designed with concepts of ONLE that learners create their learning content and learn from each other. So we feel overwhelmed is fairly common since we are not used to manage and to control our own learning.
Network technology training is the highlight in lesson 5. It is based on the concept that we share and teach each other so we can learn more and better from each other. Don't forget to make your training session more engaging and interactive. Don't forget we need to participate at one session live.
